Hello Everyone!
I'm back after such a long time of not blogging. Well I'm here to introduce, what I consider my best bantu-knot-out ever. I never actually expected it to come out as good as it did.
If you want to achieve the same look, just give it a shot. I hear a lot of ladies complaining about their knot-outs and braid outs not coming out the way they please..it's simply a trial and error thing for everyone. This is what i did:
On the night before:
I deep conditioned. For my deep conditioning, I used a mixture of Aussie Moist conditioner, honey, and olive oil. I applied that to my hair, in sections and let it sit for an hour, under a plastic cap.
I then washed it out and towel patted my hair dry. I applied my leave in conditioner which is Cantu Shea Butter brand. I let it air dry till it was about 90% dry.
After air drying, I applied a small amount of Wave Nouveau finishing lotion, in sections. Then sealed my hair with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
I took small sections of my hair, at a time, and proceeded to create small bantu knots. When I was done, I ended up with about 10-12 bantu knots. My finished look is shown in the photos above. Here is a link of a video on Youtube explaining how to create bantu knots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfFcvZTYTWA
After I was finished with my bantu knots, I took my silk/satin scarf and wrapped my hair, in order to protect it. In the morning upon waking up, showering, and getting dressed, I think proceeded to undo the bantu knots and it resulted in the look above!
I hope this was helpful ladies. Enjoy & God bless! :)
